Steps to Set Up Gmail Account

1. Visit the Google Accounts Page

Use your search engine to “Google Accounts” page. Once you’re there, hit the “Create account” button.

2. Enter Your Details

On this page, you’ll need to enter your information. This will include your complete name, birthday, gender, mobile phone number, an existing email account that you can access, location, preferred username, and password.

If your desired username isn’t available, you’ll get an error message and an alternative. If you don’t like the alternative, try multiple variations of your preferred username to find what you want.

Here, you’ll also need to enter a password. This needs to be a minimum of eight characters long and must contain letters, numbers, and symbols. Once you’ve entered all your details, hit the “Next” button.

3. Verify Your New Account

You must verify your new account before you can start using it. You’ll receive an email from Google with a verification code. You’ll get this email on the email address you provided in the last step.

Once Google verifies your account successfully, you can immediately start using it.
